Welcome to the Portugal Visa Application Centre. This site provides information on procedures applicable to residents in India who wish to apply for a visa to travel to Portugal. The visa applications will have to be submitted at Portugal Visa Application Centres available across India in accordance with the jurisdiction specified. All applications will be assessed by the Embassy of Portugal at New Delhi or Consulate general of Portugal Goa.
Step 2 Before you decide to apply for a visa please make sure you familiarize yourself with the information on the visa subclass you are applying for. Quick links to information on visa categories and other helpful information including Visa Fee, VFS Service Charge and Processing Time can be found on the Visa Wizard page on this website.
Step 3 Applicants should fill the Visa Application Form corresponding to the visa subclass under which they wish to lodge their application. Applicants can get the visa application form by visiting the nearest Australia Visa Application Centre or by downloading the forms from Applications and Forms.

In light of the global Pandemic of Coronavirus, The Embassy of Portugal in New Delhi is until further notice temporarily suspending the acceptance of all visa applications (short and long-term visa, seasonal group, attestation, and interviews for seasonal workers) at the VFS GLOBAL centres and also directly at the Embassy in New Delhi. So we will start only with the following category:
The processing of all long term national visas already at the Embassy waiting for a decision from the competent immigration authorities is suspended until normal activity resumes.
Applicants who already had an appointment for visa submission will be contacted once the visa services resume and are informed that current appointment stands cancelled.
Worker groups who had already had an appointment for submitting the visa applications will be rescheduled on the same order they were booked so far once visa operations resume and travel restrictions from Bangladesh and Nepal to India are lifted.
Applicants for short term visa who had already applied before the suspension of services will have a decision on their visa applications by the end of the current week.
Finally, it is to be highlighted that the visa fees already paid will not be refunded.

Increased fees for visa applications
Please note: As of February 2, 2020 the Schengen visa fee per person (Short Stay Visa) will increase from 60 to 80 euros or the equivalent amount in your local currency. For children between 6-12 years old the visa fee will increase to 40 euros or equivalent
Extended Application Submission Period – applications can be lodged 6 months in advance of travel date.
